Urgent Dental Care

Emergency Dentist in Canton, MI

A bad toothache, a broken or knocked-out tooth, or swelling in your face or gums needs prompt care. During office hours we triage your problem by phone and see you the same day whenever the schedule allows — new patients included.

Dental Emergencies We Treat

If you're not sure whether it's an emergency, call — we'll tell you how soon you need to be seen.

Severe Toothache

Often a deep cavity or an infected nerve. Root canal therapy can relieve the pain and save the tooth.

Knocked-Out Tooth

Fast care gives the best chance of saving it. Follow the first-aid steps below and call us right away.

Lost Filling or Broken Crown

We protect the exposed tooth and replace the filling or crown so you can chew comfortably again.

Abscess or Swelling

We find the source with digital X-rays and treat the infection before it spreads.

Painful Wisdom Tooth

Evaluation, imaging and extraction, or a referral to a trusted specialist for complex cases.

What to Do Before You Arrive

Knocked-Out Adult Tooth

Pick it up by the crown, not the root. Rinse it briefly in water without scrubbing. If you can, place it back in the socket and bite gently on clean gauze; otherwise keep it in a cup of milk. A tooth has the best chance of being saved within 30 to 60 minutes.

Toothache

Rinse with warm water and floss gently to remove trapped food. A cold compress on the outside of your cheek can ease swelling. Don't put aspirin directly on your gum.

Broken Tooth or Lost Crown

Rinse with warm water, save any pieces and bring them with you. Keep a lost crown in a clean container and don't glue it back in place.

Go to the emergency room instead for swelling that makes it hard to breathe or swallow, swelling spreading toward your eye or neck, a high fever with facial swelling, a possible broken jaw, or bleeding that won't stop. Call 911 if it's severe, then call us for follow-up dental care.

How an Emergency Visit Works

  1. Call (734) 589-1589 and tell us what happened.
  2. We triage your problem by phone and offer the soonest available time.
  3. Dr. Saboor examines the area and takes digital X-rays, or 3D imaging when needed.
  4. We relieve your pain first, then explain your options and costs before any treatment.
  5. For complex cases, we coordinate a referral to a trusted specialist.

Emergency Hours

Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Friday by appointment. Closed Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday.

If we're closed and you have swelling, fever, or trouble breathing or swallowing, go to the emergency room. For pain alone, call us as soon as we open.
